KIM WILLSON

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Kim Willson has been interested in politics for as long as she can remember and comes to Ruggerio Willson & Associates with extensive experience. Her diverse background, which covers statewide and Senatorial campaigns, local community organizations and work in the non-profit sector as well as Fortune 500 companies positions her as an immediate contributor to the success of RW&A.

Kim’s first foray into local politics started in college when she began working for the Delaware Volunteer Firemen’s Association’s (DVFA) administration. Her role with the DVFA provided Kim with first-hand knowledge of how local organizations and governments work together. It also gave her hands-on experience in cultivating those relationships, which is a skill vital to success in all aspects of government relations. Kim’s next step was into national politics, serving as State Scheduler and Executive Assistant for United States Senator Tom Carper (D-DE). During this time, Kim was in daily communication with the Senator and served as the first point of contact for anyone trying to schedule meetings or events with him. She worked with both the Delaware and Washington, D.C. staff, and played an integral role in Senator Carper’s successful 2006 Senate Re-Election Campaign.

Kim then entered the non-profit sector as the Program Manager for Vision 2015, an education reform program focused on transforming public education in Delaware to a world-class status. During her tenure with Vision 2015, Kim’s daily interactions were with various school officials, the Department of Education, the University of Delaware Provosts, as well as state, local, and federal elected officials to further the mission gain support, and work towards securing funding to continue the growth of the program.

Following her time with Vision 2015, Kim returned to the political campaign arena, serving as Regional Field Director in Kent County (DE) for the 2008 Delaware Democratic Party Coordinated Campaign. While there, Kim worked intimately with local, state, and federal elected officials and party leaders to ensure a Democratic win from the presidential race to the local offices, along with helping to secure a democratic majority in the Delaware House of Representatives.

Most recently, Kim led Government Relations for Valero Energy Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, in Delaware. During her tenure with Valero, Kim served as the face of Valero in Delaware, representing the company in the community but also working with members of Delaware’s government on all levels, including the congressional delegation, State House of Representatives, State Senate, various state agencies, and the office of the governor. Kim worked to educate all parties about the refinery. She also helped to pull together union and state business leaders in order to stop a piece of legislation that would have cost Valero several million dollars.

Kim is married with two daughters. She is very involved with the local organization, Gals that Give. Aside from the beach, her favorite hang-outs are the local Crossfit box and yummy locally-owned restaurants.

MEMBERS

3rd Wave Brewing Company is simply stated as a dream between two friends that has become a reality. Our mission is to produce a quality of tastes that can be shared at the beach and where ever our friends may gather.

Pietro’s Pizza first opened as a small take-out pizza place in Prices Corner in May of 1978. After years of running multiple locations, we finally settled in Pike Creek where we stayed for over 20 years. Then after dabbling in Home brewing for several years we decided to combine our love of handcrafted beer with our love of pizza. So we moved to our current location where we have installed a 1.5 barrel brewery on site, making us the smallest brewery in the state of Delaware. We’re just as passionate about our beer as our food. Cheers!!

Autumn Arch Beer Project is a local small-batch, experimental brewery located in Newark Delaware specializing in deep flavor profiles, edgy bitterness, and complex relationships. With fervent attention to fundamental brewing principles, a respect for traditional styles, and an entrepreneurial spirit, Autumn Arch produces ales, lagers, and sour beers of the highest character. Our brewery and family-friendly tasting room share the same space, placing you, the beer drinker, in close proximity to the beer brewing process.

Bellefonte Brewing Company plans to focus in two complementary areas. First, we are a Nano Brewery and tap room with eight regular production beers and two taps dedicated to rotational beers. Additionally, we will offer home brew supplies, brew education, and brew on premise. Our success will depend on our ability to cultivate relationships, create atmosphere, and produce a high quality product with consistency.

Here at Big Oyster Brewery we not only embrace the age-old tradition of pairing beer with oysters, but also seek to embody the feeling of camaraderie evoked by the expression. We brew a variety of high-quality craft beers including East Coast and West Coast IPAs, Bavarian and Belgian Wheat Beers, and German and American Lagers. Our brewery is located within Fins Ale House and Raw Bar in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware so that you can enjoy our brews straight out of the tanks, but we also provide our beers to Fins Fish House and Raw Bar, as well as Claws Seafood House, both restaurants located only a few minutes away in downtown Rehoboth. The beers we offer are always changing so be sure to check out what beers are currently pouring!

The founder of our brewery Ronnie “Blue” Earl Price is a man of simple tastes, always on the hunt for great music, gourmet food, and exceptional craft beer. The simplicity of the blues had always drawn him in, the soulfulness, the earthiness of the style made him feel good inside. Barbecue is to food as blues is to music he would always say, nothing fast about the blues or barbecue, too fast with the blues and you lose the feeling, too fast with barbecue and, well, it just ain’t no good. Finding a good beer had always been a challenge. American beers had lost all their former goodness with mass production and mass marketing. They had lost the feeling. He decided that if it couldn’t be bought, he would have to brew it himself.

Brick Works Brewing & Eats was founded in 2016 by Eric Williams, Ryan Maloney, and Kevin Reading, Kent County Delaware Entrepreneurs. Focused on producing the highest quality beverages and menu items, the brewpub prides itself on utilizing locally sourced ingredients for both their beers and their foods.

Fresh brewed beer down at the beach with lots of parking, good food, great service, and an atmosphere you can't find anywhere else.

Dew Point Brewing Co. is located in the historic Garrett Snuff Mill in Yorklyn, DE. We are Delaware's only family owned and operated microbrewery and we would love for you to stop by, visit our tasting room, and check out what is on tap!

30 feet or less. That's how far the beer we brew on site on our 7 barrel brewing system travels to reach your glass. Beer served at its freshest, as it was meant to be. Bringing local beer to Dewey Beach is our passion and our mission.

Dogfish Head? An unconventional company? No way ..... Okay, so maybe we are a little nuts! We brew strange concoctions of beer, sell silly accessories with our name on it and have our own music group, The Pain Relievaz! We like to keep it a little kooky and wacky around the Dogfish joint!

Based on our shared values and a common philosophy of quality brewing, Fordham & Dominion joined forces in 2007 and consolidated operations in 2009. The First State is now home to the Fordham & Dominion Brewing Co., where beer lovers from near and far are able to stop by, get to know us, and enjoy our handcrafted beer and soda. Our roots run deep throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and we remain dedicated to our craft. Throughout our history, we have always believed in two things: the beers we make and the people who drink them.
